The Student Academy of Audiology introduces students to lifelong involvement in activities that promote and advance the profession of audiology, and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy for the profession and the public we serve. SAA San Diego chapter aims to promote, educate and provide opportunities to students in the field of audiology within the San Diego community.

SAA San Diego welcomes both graduate and undergraduate students at San Diego State University. We offer numerous opportunities for members to help the local community and discover what audiology is all about. So far, SAA has participated in the Walk 4 Hearing and multiple hearing screenings at local schools. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others.

What Do We Do?
Hearing Screenings
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for helping the community and providing experience for our members. We screen grades TK-8 at multiple schools throughout San Diego. Contact us to take part in our next screening!
Community Outreach
At SAA San Diego, we are always looking for new and fun ways to spread the word about the profession of audiology and hearing protection in general. We do everything from teaching elementary school kids about hearing loss to raising awareness of exostosis at the beach. We even reach out to on campus to raise awareness of audiology as a profession. We invite you to learn more and lend your support!
